Dimmitrios Giannakis
Dimmitrios Giannakis, born in Cape Town, is a classically trained guitarist. Dimmitrios, who is head of Guitar at three schools, says: “I am passionate about Classical and Spanish Classical Guitar. However, I feel that the guitar needs a new voice, a new song, to speak to the youth of today. This is why I compose and perform my own music.”
Expect an eclectic compilation, ranging from Pachelbel to Tarrega to the maestro’s own compositions.
And Music Breathes was featured as CD of the week on Fine Music Radio earlier this year.
