A solo piano programme compiled by New York-based pianist Kathleen Tagg in honour of the 200-year celebration of the birth of Franz Liszt. Liszt was a dazzling pianist as well as a composer, famous for his great virtuosity. This programme includes works by Liszt as well as by other composers known in their time as performers, such as Beethoven, Mozart and Gershwin. Tagg rounds out the programme with anecdotes and insights about their lives and performances.
