Prof. Nicol Viljoen performs Chopin Mazurkas
The well-known pianist and head of the Department of Music of the UFS, Prof. Nicol Viljoen, delivers a lecture demonstration (18h00) on the unique genre of Chopin Mazurkas in the Fismer Hall of the Conservatory followed by a performance of a selection of 17 of these Mazurkas (20h).
Refreshments will be served at interval (19h), during which Viljoen’s latest solo CD will be officially launched. (‘Transcendental Schubert’ / Moments Musicaux, op 94; Bb-major Sonata, D. 960).
