The Music of Grant McLachlan
Award winning composer Grant McLachlan’s original music spanning 40 years, is performed live, at his 60th Birthday Celebration Concert (Baxter).
A splendid line up featuring some of Cape Town’s best Classical Musicians will enthral the audience with a stunning collection of McLachlan’s best works. I
Included is guest artist and Double Bass player, Leon Bosch, who will premier McLachlan’s Sonatina written for Double Bass. Other performers include Peter Martens, Suzanne Martens, Albie Van Schalkwyk and Lucia Scott, Barbara Kennedy, Bridget Rennie-Salonen and Tertia Visser-Downie.
The concert ends with a special performance of his world famous Christmas Carol ‘’Come Colours Rise’’ sung by the Herschel Choir.
A portion of the concert’s profits will go towards a bursary fund to enable worthy young students to attend the annual Franschhoek Chamber Music Workshop.
