Due to an overwhelmingly positive response, VOX Cape Town’s first major performance of 2017 will be a re-imagining of the contemporary choral extravaganza that took place in November 2016.

This unique celebration of contrasts will again take place in the glorious acoustic of the Memorial Chapel, Bishops.

While still headed by the unleashed kinetic energy of “Cloudburst”, the programme will feature brand new pieces by Eric Whitacre, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Radiohead and The Cinematic Orchestra. These works, ranging from the sublime to the intimate, will offset the devastation of the minimalist masterpiece at the centre of the performance, “When David Heard”.

The unique vocal talents of Richard Brokensha (photo) can again be heard alongside those of the singers.

All proceeds from the performance will be donated to the Bishops Chapel Improvement Fund to maintain the beloved acoustic jewel for future musical events.
