Sanlam National Music Competition entries close 16 April

Entries for the 22nd Sanlam National Music Competition for young musicians close on Friday 16 April.

The competition offers talented young music learners the opportunity to learn from one another and to compete on national level. Age limit for participation is 15 at the time of the competition which will take place at the Huge Lambrechts Music Centre in Cape Town from 20 to 24 September. No entrance fee is required and prize money is offered.

After close of entry, candidates will be notified in writing when and where their auditions will take place. These will be held in various centres including Bloemfontein, Durban, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Pretoria, from the end of May. Successful participants will be notified by the end of June.

The competition, in its 22nd year, is presented by the South African Society of Music Teachers Tygerberg and sponsored by Sanlam.
