This recording of the Brahms Sonata for Cello and Piano in E minor Op.38 and Rachmaninoff Sonata in G minor for Cello and Piano Op.19 marks an exciting first CD release by the St Andrew’s Concert Series in Cape Town.

Performed by Jacques-Pierre Malan (cello) and Pieter van Zyl (piano), the production of the CD was triggered after rapturous audience response when they performed the works at the the St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on 4 March 2012.

Just over a year later, the recording is now available for purchase. Recorded in the excellent acoustics of the Hugo Lambrechst Auditorium in Parow, the CD is a celebration of two acclaimed South African musicians making music together.

On Friday 22 March 2013, the CD will be launched officially with a LIVE performance of the works and the CD will be on sale at the concert. See the What’s On calendar for event details.
