The ABSA Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees will run in Oudtshoorn from 1-8 April this year.

A variety of classical music will feature as part of the programme. This will include Around the World in 60 Minutes, a solo recital by guitarist James Grace, that will take listeners on a musical journey around the world.

Bach’s beloved Goldberg Variations will be performed by Wessel Beukes (cello), Zanta Hofmeyr (violin) and Morkel Combrink (viola).

The ever-popular “blonde” piano duo, Zorada Temmingh and Elna van der Merwe are back to please crowds with Blondes, Tchaikovsky & Queen.

Duetto, a programme of musical bon-bons for two male voices will be performed by Righard Linde and Douwe Bijkersma with Ingrid Bredell on piano.

Don’t miss Zorada Temmingh’s organ improvisation to the 1925 film version of Phantom of the Opera.

In Creme Chopin(photo) ,Charl du Plessis (piano), Heleen du Plessis (cello) and Zanta Hofmeyr (violin), will treat audiences to a delightful programme of chamber music.

In Die Nag, up-and-coming mezzo soprano Minette du Toit-Pearce will perform lieder by Strauss, Schubert and Debussy.

In their programme Barok én Afrikaans, performed by Hans Huyssen and Andrew Cruickshank on original baroque instruments, music-lovers can hear works by Vivaldi, Geminiani, Rossi, Cruickshank and Huyssen.

The much-anticipated production of Swanemeer: Die ware verhaal, features Nataniël (narrator), Charl du Plessis (piano) and the Free State Symphony Orchestra.
